Hay River Farmer-led Watershed Council

A group of farmers working together to improve soil and water conservation within the Hay River Watershed. The Council was established in 2013 and encompasses the Upper, Middle, and Lower South Forks of the Hay River watershed as well as Beaver Creek, Sandy Creek, and Tiffany Creek watersheds which includes approximately 180 square miles and is located mostly in Dunn County but includes parts of Barron, St. Croix and Polk Counties as well. This group also works closely with three other groups: the Horse Creek Watershed (Polk County), Dry Run Watershed (St. Croix County), and South Kinni Watershed (Pierce County). Wisconsin Farmers Union also provides coordination with the four groups and with additional grant funds through the McKnight Foundation and Wisconsin DNR.  More information on facebook page and the website.
