Medical Assisted Treatment Program
Incarcerated persons who struggle with addiction from alcohol and/or opioids are eligible for medication to help prevent relapse and reinforce their recovery efforts with guidance from the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program being offered for free at the Dunn County Jail.
The MAT Program is currently offering Vivitrol as a blocker for alcohol and opioid use disorders. The medication in combination with groups and individual sessions is a "whole-patient" approach that can help the incarcerated persons start recovery prior to release. The MAT Program is ran by a WI licensed substance abuse counselor and includes care management to address the incarcerated persons needs prior to their release in the community.
